Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn’t here, the next step is the same as always: a free 30-minute call.

Which services do you offer?

Websites, design and copywriting, SEO and content, workflow automation, and MVP development. The full list lives on the Choose Your Service page.

Can I combine services?

Yes. Most clients do. A website project usually includes copy and basic SEO. A long-term partnership often spans three or four service areas. The proposal will show you what fits your goals.

What services don’t you offer?

We don’t do web hosting, photography, or video production as a standalone service. We can refer you to trusted partners for the work we don’t take on.

Do you work in Arabic as well as English?

Yes, the founder is Sudanese, that’s your point of contact; she can conduct both Arabic & English meetings.

We deliver bilingual websites, copy, content, and design, and we respect the tone and cultural nuance of each language. Other languages are possible through the freelance network.

Which platforms do you build websites on?

We choose per project.

How long does SEO take to show results?

You may see small movement in weeks. Meaningful results usually take 3 to 6 months.

What’s an MVP and do I really need one?

An MVP is the simplest working version of an idea, built to test it with real users or pitch it to investors. You need one if you’re validating before committing to full development. You don’t need one if you’ve already validated demand and are ready to invest in production-grade software.

Why don’t you publish fixed prices?

Because every business is different. A one-page site for a new founder isn’t the same as a multilingual e-commerce build, and pretending they’re the same with a “starter package” would be dishonest. Pricing is set per project after the free consultation.

Why three options in the proposal?

Three options make it easier to choose what fits your budget and ambition.

Can I negotiate the proposal?

Of course. The proposal is a starting point. If a scope doesn’t fit, we adjust it.

What payment terms do you use?

Most one-time projects use a milestone-based schedule: a deposit to start, payments at defined checkpoints, and a final payment at handover. Long-term partnerships use a monthly fee. Specifics are in the contract.

Who will I work with at Motherin?

The founder, Eiman Idris, is your direct point of contact for every account. A service coordinator (Nouran for design, Miamona for websites) is involved in any project touching their area. Specialists work behind the scenes through them.

Do you have a fixed in-house team?

The founder and the three service coordinators are the constants. Freelance specialists join per project, hand-picked for the scope.

How do you find your freelancers?

We work with trusted freelance outsourcing partners who vet every candidate they present. They screen for technical skills and communication. We then interview each freelancer ourselves before they join a Motherin project.

Why female talent only?

It’s part of what Motherin stands for. Tech and digital still hand most of the well-paid contracts to men. We’re trying to redirect some of that flow. The work itself doesn’t change because of who builds it.

Who is accountable if a freelancer underdelivers?

Motherin is. We are your contracting party. The coordinator and the founder are accountable for output regardless of which freelancer worked on it.

What if a freelancer drops out mid-project?

We replace them. Our network gives us depth in every specialty, so we can backfill without delaying delivery in most cases. We tell you immediately if it happens.

Can I request a specific freelancer for ongoing work?

For long-term partnerships, yes, where possible. If you’ve worked with someone you trust on a previous engagement, we’ll try to keep them on your account. We can’t always guarantee availability.

How long does a typical project take?

The proposal includes a clear timeline with milestones, and we will update you at each one.

What do you need from me to start?

Your goals, your priorities, any existing brand assets, examples you like, and basic content. If the content isn’t ready, we can support with copywriting and design. A clear point of contact on your side is essential.

How many revisions are included?

We work in review rounds. You see and comment, then our second try, then a final approval. We aim for you to be happy with the final result, so we give generously of our time and effort when we can.

What if I want to change scope mid-project?

We talk about it. Small adjustments are normal and usually absorbed. Larger changes get a short conversation about scope, timing, and price, and we move forward only when you’re comfortable.

How will we communicate during the project?

Through our client portal & weekly meetings. Files, updates, project progress, and discussions live in one place. Usually, a weekly meeting is enough, but if you need more, we are happy to do more.

Can I see progress along the way?

Yes. For example, for websites, you can see wireframes before design starts, design before development starts, and a working build before launch. Each stage includes a review round.

What happens after the project is delivered?

For one-time projects, we hand over full documentation, ownership of all accounts and tools, and a clear paper trail. You can still come back with questions afterwards. For long-term partnerships, the handover marks the start of the ongoing monthly rhythm.

Do you offer support after the project ends?

Yes, it will be stated in the contract. For one-time projects, we’re reachable for questions and small updates. For larger ongoing needs, we recommend moving into a long-term partnership.

What if I find a bug or issue after handover?

For a reasonable period after launch, we fix anything that wasn’t working as agreed. The specific window is defined in the contract.

How does the monthly fee work?

The fee is either credit-based (a set monthly capacity you draw from) or scope-based (a defined scope of recurring work). Both are bespoke. We discuss the right structure during the proposal.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Usually three months at the start, called the testing period. After that, the partnership runs because both sides benefit. You can end it when it no longer serves you.

Can I scale the monthly engagement up or down?

Yes. Long-term partnerships are designed to flex with your business. We have honest conversations about scope and capacity as your needs change.

What if I have a busy month and need more than usual?

We talk about it. Most credit-based engagements have room to absorb a busy month. If not, we agree on a short-term scope expansion.

What if I have a quiet month?

The credit can be used flexibly across services. Some clients save up credit for a bigger push in the next quarter. We don’t force you to spend it badly.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, especially for MVPs and early-stage ideas. We can sign one before the first call if you’d prefer to share details under NDA.

Is my project information kept confidential?

Yes. Everything you share with us, including strategy, internal data, and unreleased work, is treated as confidential. Our team and our freelancers operate under confidentiality agreements.

Who owns the work after delivery?

You do. Code, content, design files, brand assets, all of it. Motherin retains no ownership of client work.
